This training course is for care professionals interested in encouraging their clients to take part in seasonal indoor gardening activities and tending an outdoor garden area.
No prior knowlege required.
Theory and practical learning sessions using the outdoor space for inspiration and activity, coupled with activity ideas for indoor sessions. An informal learning environment,inspiring staff to gain confidence in:
- Indoor gardening activities
- How to adapt gardening activity to suit your client group
- Handling plant materials in a garden setting
- Seasonal plant care
- Activity planning
- How to engage and encourage clients
- Showcasing gardening within the care setting.
All materials provided.
Training pack includes: A1 poster to showcase gardening activity, a library of seasonal activity factsheets, Activity Planning Sheets, additional photocopyable resources.
Certificate of Completion on each day (5 CPD points).
Cost £265.00 per person
It is possible to substitute/change the particular care staff member attending these sessions, at short notice, to accommodate staff changes/sickness/work rotas etc.
This is a rolling programme ( pay for 4 days - Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) which you can join at any time in the cycle.
