Join Trellis and Perth Autism Support at Camphill Blair Drummond, Stirling for this training session exploring how to better support people with autism to garden.
This training session is useful for anyone gardening in a group environment, or supporting individuals with autism to garden.
You will leave with :
- A clear understanding of autism
- What challenges could be faced by individuals on the autism spectrum
- How autism may affest the individuals working oin a group setting
- How to support individuals working in a group setting
- Practical strategies to support in a gardening context
This training day is part of Trellis Specialist training for CPD in therapeutic gardening and a certificate will be issued on completion.
Perth Autism Support are a third sector organisation supporting children under the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with autism, and their families. Camphill Blair Drummond provides residential care, meaningful activities and friendship for people with learning disabilities. Their gardening activties are led by Robert Carroll, who has adapted his gardening practice to suit those with autism.
