Welcome to our Autumn Newsletter. What a year it has been so far! in May we held the inaugural World Therapeutic Horticulture Day which proved to be a great success. We're already in the throes of planning for 2024.

We're now into a busy events season in the run up to Christmas, with our Networking and AGM event in October, our Annual Conference in November as well as our continuing programme of Live Demos! It's great to see so many faces coming along and receive such positive feedback about our training and education programme.

Trellis Impact Report 
 

We may be small but we we do mighty things with your donations.

In the last 12 months we have made a real difference to the lives of thousands of disabled and disadvantaged people, enabling them to garden with the help of practitioners trained and supported by Trellis.

Networking event & AGM

"Using gardening & green health opportunities to support wellbeing in your community"

Date: Friday, 20 October 10am to 3.30pm
Venue: Pittencrieff Park and Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries, Dunfermline
Cost:£5

Join Park Staff and Friends of Pittencrieff Park (Sensory Garden) for a garden tour, talk and presentations from guest speakers incl. The Sanctuary Garden and Queen Margaret Hospital Garden in Dunfermline - and explore how to make green health connections in your community.

If you are involved in running a 'gardening for wellbeing group' or starting out on that journey,  come meet others in the gardening/outdoors for wellbeing community, share in good practice and make connections.

Live Demo programme

Our live demos have been a great success over the last few months. We've created suncatchers, saved seeds and taken cuttings. 

The next demo takes place on 12 October and is a session on planting outdoor bulbs.

The activities demonstrated in each demo can be adapted for all abilities and added to your tabletop gardening repertoire.

Green Therapy Conference

Fiona was recently presenting at  one-day conference on "Making green therapies available to all" at Tuppenny Barn. A great day of speakers all helping each other navigate the pathway towards the universal provision of nature-based therapies.
