HOPE Garden SCIO is a registered charity that provides horticultural training for adults with learning disabilities that live in the Angus area.
To oversee the development of HOPE garden in line with the Business Plan and develop links between the garden and the wider community. To co-ordinate and manage a volunteer programme, and develop project opportunities for trainees and volunteers in collaboration with garden staff.
Previous work with adults with learning disabilities would be desirable but not essential. Ideally the candidate should have a degree in Community Learning and Development, Project Management or an equivalent qualification. Good IT skills would be advantageous.
A current driving licence and access to a car is essential. A PVG Disclosure check is required for this post and will be paid for by the employer.
Place of work: Main place of work Hope Organic Garden, Arbroath with some community based project work.
