Growing With Stories

From September 2018 the Storytelling Network will be encouraging communities across Scotland to take part in gardening activities in which they can book a storyteller from their directory to take part!

Growing With Stories, is based on the the idea that stories are like gardens – bringing people together and helping communities grow.Why not have a


Seed Swop, Story Swop  share stories and particpants encouraged to plant seeds in local commuity in desginated plot or take home after stroytelling event.

Secret Gardens, Secret Stories particpants encouraged to get outside and find the lesser known green spaces and share lesser known stories.

Rooted Cosmopolitanism: partipants encouraged to gather locally and share their favourite international stories and experinces, this idea of having feet on rooted in scotland but being outward, forward-thinking and global with a hook to planting some greenery in their commuity as a symbol of this.

Planting Stories: an afternoon of stories in playground and creating a playground allotment.
